Today I went for a run during sunrise. I really enjoyed it, and felt refreshed and happy throughout the entire day. I would consider doing this more often if I didnt like sleeping in so much.
Today I visited a Sikh gurdwara. I covered my head, removed my shoes, and sat on the floor with everyone else during the prayer. Even though I didn’t understand the language, the rhythm of the music and the calmness of the space made me feel connected. After the service, we all ate together in the langar hall, where food is shared equally with anyone who comes.
Today I painted our fence. What I thought would be a simple task turned into a detailed process that took patience and problem-solving. Matching the right paint required identifying the exact shade, finish, and texture. After a trip to Home Depot and cutting off a chip from the wood, I finally found the right one. The next day, I scraped off all the algae and pollen before setting up the tarp and painting with slow, careful strokes.
