Today I spent the day doing art. I didn’t worry about whether it looked good—I just let myself create. I tried sketching, painting, and even messing around with charcoal. It was quiet, focused, and oddly calming.

I walked in the opposite direction today during my evening walk with my mom. At first, it felt odd, like I was walking through someone else’s neighborhood. But I discovered new houses, blooming trees, and flowers from different angles. It was super cool. It made me realize how often we repeat routines without question. Taking the unfamiliar route gave me a new view of a place I thought I already knew.

I emailed a friend of mine who recently landed a super cool job in a field I’ve always admired. I told her how proud I was and how great it was to have shared time together at Bellevue. I didn’t expect much, but writing it felt good, like cheering someone on from the sidelines. It reminded me that genuine encouragement has value, even if we don’t stay in touch often. Celebrating others' success doesn’t take anything away from our own journey.
